This week, as part of the H.E.A.R.T challenge, I read more about sleep, and it's cruciality in college. The article was titled An Underappreciated Key to College Success: Sleep by Jane E. Brody.
One thing that this article reconfirmed for me was the importance of sleep and it's correlation to good grades. I try to maintain a good sleep schedule so that I can get decent grades.
One thing I learned was that the WAY in which you sleep matters. It's not just the net hours of sleep, but the environment and pattern in which you sleep as well. I try to go to bed and wake up around the same time.
One thing I would like to explore is the LONG term effects of short term lack of sleep, i.e., if one does not sleep well for a month, how does that affect them for a year, or for 10 years out.
Finally, I would like to try to maintain my sleep schedule even better moving forward so that I can continue to maintain good grades and move forward.

Thank you so much for sharing this! It’s good to have reminders to put more effort into a sleep schedule, especially in a college environment which is often unkind to establishing consistent patterns. I appreciated how short, sweet, and succinct this was, and am grateful for the opportunity to read such a good article. The long-term effects of sleep deprivation sound interesting as well! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!
